For all that yesterday marked the beginning of the countdown, it was a lovely day. Mom made me chicken soup (yum) and my favorite Korean dishes, and Dad sat around, looking pleased with himself. I like to believe that his pride came from seeing how beautifully his oldest daughter matured, but who knows?
One glitch in the evening came when Linda and Emily thought it'd be a great idea to buy candles that sparked back to life after they'd been blown. The birthday queen was not amused.
